Chapter 1 Summary

In chapter One of The internet, I learned about how useful saving webpage content can be. This chapter showed me that you can save a whole webpage on your computer by using the ctrl + S shortcut on your keyboard.  This is something I didn't realize before, because usually I would just bookmark the page or take a screenshot. Knowing this shortcut means that I can keep the full page exactly how it appears, which is much more helpful than taking a bunch of screenshots or looking through all my bookmarks. I found it interesting that something as simple as using a shortcut can make it so I save a huge amount of time.  

This relates to me because I often save a lot of things for school. Sometimes I worry about losing it if my computer crashes or the internet stops working. Using this shortcut makes it easy to save what I need. From now on I can use it for articles, reading, or even instructions for class. This chapter showed me that even the smallest things like a shortcut can help a lot with my work.
